Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan — transforming higher education through strategic funding, infrastructure, and institutional reforms.
Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM USHA) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Government of India, building on and succeeding the earlier RUSA scheme, aimed at providing strategic funding to eligible state higher educational institutions. Wangcha Rajkumar Government College is a beneficiary of PM USHA funding, which significantly contributes to the development of infrastructure, academic programs, and faculty capacity.
PM USHA aims to achieve equity, access, and excellence in higher education. It ensures that every rupee of central funding leads to measurable improvement in quality and access, especially for institutions located in remote and underserved regions like Arunachal Pradesh.
Under PM USHA, our college receives grants for construction of new academic blocks, smart classrooms, language laboratory, sports infrastructure, and capacity-building of faculty members. The PM USHA Cell monitors utilization, compliance, and reporting for all such grants.
Construction of a modern multi-storey academic block with state-of-the-art classrooms, seminar halls, and faculty rooms.
Installation of 10 smart classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, projectors, and high-speed internet connectivity.
Modernization of the central library with digital catalogue, e-resources access, reading lounges, and self-help kiosks.
Up-gradation of physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science laboratories with modern equipment.
Development of indoor sports hall, outdoor courts, and gymnasium for holistic student development.
